A Week in NYC with BizBash

Last week, Paul & Grail (VP, Special Projects & CEO) hopped over to NYC for BizBash Magazine’s Event IdeaFest Conference.

If you’ve never been to an event put on and attended by a group of event planners, then you’re missing out.

Aside from taking in the newest ideas, and mingling with some of the top innovators in event design, there was lots to learn about the latest innovations in technology – like holographs, projection mapping and interactive gaming options by companies like Swarmworks. And while it’s always fun to see what’s new and next, we were happy to see some tried and true techniques still in play, like human tables, old-school photo booths, and well-paired hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

One of the brightest points was when we learned that the event industry has grown by 30% this year, as companies realize that face-to-face experiences with their customers is critical to making an impression that matters.
