TGIM! Kick your Monday Blues in the Butt!

Turns out the “M” word doesn’t have to be so bad after all. Starting off each work week right is a crucial element of your success – and sanity! Try looking forward to Mondays as a fresh start to achieving all your personal and professional goals, or a jumping-off point for new ones.

Break down those big, daunting resolutions into small intervals, evaluated weekly. Whether it’s a new project at work, weight loss plan, or kicking a bad habit to the curb, make your Mondays a check-point for progress. Taking away that daily pressure keeps you from getting discouraged or quitting all together. Better yet, take it a step further and each Sunday evening write down your weekly “to-do’s”! You’ll have a worry free sleep and wake up knowing you’ve got a head start on your day.

Check out The Monday Campaigns, a non-profit public health initiative in association with Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Maxwell School at Syracuse. Their research shows that organizing your week right, from the start, can help reduce stress and make you more productive and successful. The Monday Campaigns’ goal is to help prevent chronic diseases by supporting individuals in their journey to live healthier lives, physically and mentally.
